Baby Happy Baby Sad (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

Baby Happy Baby Sad (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

In this book demonstrates Patricelli two basic emotions that happen to be the opposite - happiness and sadness. Spread the word. "Happy Baby" and "little sad" and is represented by a complete picture. One example that illustrates the spread. "Happy Baby" with baby holding red balloons and portrays "the tragedy" with the balloons flew away. The message is very simple and quite basic, though, parents or guardians can expand it by providing a detailed explanation of why the baby is happy or sad, each picture (such as' The baby is happy because he is holding a balloon. Oh no! He let go of the strings and the balloons flew away. Now the baby is sad. '), Using exaggerated facial expressions for each emotional state is a good idea to reinforce meaning. This book may be helpful when teaching young children about emotions and the ability to articulate their feelings, especially the youngest children are still working on building vocabulary. simple to express, rather than just cry or turn rampant. Toddler in my class at the end of the old and those with language skills. But they still enjoyed the book, although it is quite basic.

The Magic School Bus Sees Stars by Nancy White

I always enjoyed the Magic School Bus series. I remember reading / watching them as a child. I could never get over the "cool" teacher Frizz is usually paired her dress on. As a teacher, I have new expectations in these books. I appreciate how unique that factual information is presented in these books. This Magic School Bus is a good lesson for my space and keep students engaged during the reading. I highly recommend this book and other Magic School Bus.

I'm and Won't, They're and Don't What's a Contraction by Brian P. Cleary

I'm and Won't, They're and Don't What's a Contraction by Brian P. Cleary

There's a reason I like this book, and why I do not like this book. One of the reasons I like this book is because some of the phrases that are written to rhyme. For example, it says that "Apostrophes connect words and replacing at least one letter. While I am very proud that I can help make a cute T-shirt. ".

The reason I like this book because it is very busy and there is no theme to the image. One page is about the zoo's front page is all about the beach and the other one is about ice cream.

The main idea of this book is to give information about contraction.

Faster! Faster! by Leslie Patricelli

Faster! Faster! by Leslie Patricelli

A good companion to rise up! Many of the clues are great for little ones to think about what comes next. (Eagle feathers for that to happen; The tail of the Cheetahs) and a lot of good detail for adults to smile at the baby from the mother on a swing with it. "Higher, higher !!" as a young woman and her father started to play. The document led to the continuation in the name and love stories, how each animal was pooped after their return to the girl; Love's father tied around the neck of each animal's paw print on the Jolly Roger pirate ship puppies. And yes, a monkey again - this time in a submarine. Details best though: tired eyes in the turtle, animals, clouds and shadows of clouds on endpaper back on the surface of the ocean ... like small touches. But it really makes you feel like you are high up.

OK, stop rattling on about this book now. Can not wait to take on the Storytime Baby!

The Magic School Bus Inside Ralphie by Joanna Cole

The Magic School Bus Inside Ralphie by Joanna Cole

Magic School Bus series is good for the students to learn from. The coffee is very interesting information. I like him and illustrated through the book.
He grabs readers and keeps readers wanting more until the last page. The story begins with a student is sick and crazy teachers to lead students on a field trip of a sick child. Many people can relate to feeling ill and did not want to take medication icky. The author was able to explain to the reader why it is important to take the medicine through unique and informative.
The challenge is illustrated through the story Grabbers attention Yes, we all know that it is not possible for the bus to shrink to a party; But the story is found in the body, it is reasonable. The illustrations of the human body is very interesting in the fact that it is not to be graphic. But it is detailed There's even a spot of coffee when she thought he was looking at the anatomy of reality on television. (I did not know it was in her son's) cell-like cells that were drawn in anatomy books.
The main story line is to inform readers how the bacteria in the body and how important it is to use. Class field trips inside the shop was able to see the cells with drugs that attack bacteria. If it was not for drugs, bacteria will grow and the coffee could have gotten hurt.

But and For, Yet and Nor: What is a Conjunction? by Brian P. Cleary

But and For, Yet and Nor: What is a Conjunction? by Brian P. Cleary

I think this is a good book to learn about conjunctions. I like that the authors use a different color for each share. For example, the word "so" is written in green and the word "but" is written in orange. Color and highlights the differences in the different types of conjunctions are available. Also, I like the author, including the definition of the beginning of the book to the title page. The authors write, "participants. The combination of the words, phrases and words," This is useful because it provides me with the means and knowledge base before I started reading. The main idea of this is to use conjunctions can improve by linking two ideas to make a more complex sentences.

Skippyjon Jones, Lost in Spice by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones, Lost in Spice by Judy Schachner

I enjoyed this book more reasons than that I do not like it. But I do have some complaints. Like the concept of matter consisting of a small cat with pointed ears who thinks he's a Chihuahua. He went to his closet dressed as an astronaut, and believes he is on a mission to Mars, space, planets, red pepper spice. There he met with friends and Mars that look like his name Tino Ojo where he ends up in a sock monkey tug of war with which to send him back to his bedroom on the planet. Throughout the story, I enjoyed the lectures as a joke. "Mars to your wardrobe and get us some Frijoles" said the voice. I also liked the illustrations, details that comes with a good message. They're doing a chalk drawing colorful pictures and soft character. I also think that the Spanish experience and involvement with the opportunity to learn. For example, "Tito Poquito!" Exclaimed Skippito "That is your Amigo?".
Although I enjoyed the book, I did not like some little. One is the fact that it is difficult to read aloud for the first time. Because many words in Spanish or was made to say almost treat them correctly and smoothly. I've heard that it is important for you to hear these stories on CDs before you read this cause. I've never done this, which is probably why I struggle with reading, Skippy Jon Jones did not like is that there is no Spanish word for word. I feel that this would be of benefit to those who can not speak Spanish, not only. But learning how to say the word correctly. I understand very well.
Overall, this book, like the other books I have read, Skippy Jon Jones has more positive than negative about them, and I know it's fun to have them read aloud. I have to practice ahead of time.

The Birthday Box by Leslie Patricelli

The Birthday Box by Leslie Patricelli

Leslie Patricelli of babies are back and this time it was the birth of the baby! He / she is super excited to get a birthday present that came in cardboard boxes, oversized and / his new friend, her dog called Oscar take a flight of fancy, they pretend play. a drop box robots, etc. and find other uses for the box (such as a bed).

Like many Patricelli children's books to make sure to be a hit with toddlers and even preschoolers. The baby is too cute not to love, and the story is sweet without being sugary. I love that it extols the virtues of "toys" that can be used in a variety of ways to promote pretend play and creativity and imagination. Parents and other caregivers to immediately (and probably laugh at) the age-old "dilemma" boy's love gift box as much. (Or sometimes more) than the actual present.

This is especially written in both English and Spanish, which are great for speakers of one language as well as those who speak one of them and want to learn more.

The Magic School Bus Gets Crabby by Kristin Earhart

The Magic School Bus Gets Crabby by Kristin Earhart

I love the Magic School Bus series like this because it is a book to enjoy the adventure to the students while in school and learning at the same time. The setting of the book is good. The story begins with the students and Ms. wrought in their classrooms, they go on adventures of their Magic School Bus. What is interesting to me is that the author took some readers will learn something about. In this book, The Magic School Bus will be paved to learn about what's happening under the ocean. Students become a hermit crab, which I thought was a lovely touch to the story. This is not just a story about the adventure. But on learning experience. Throughout the book, the fact that the information which will help readers learn more. "At low tide the animals to protect themselves from dying out. They close their shells and tentacles to keep the water inside. "Readers are not just learning about the animal itself. But they also learn about the parts of the oceans and how animals protect themselves. In addition, this book label everything so that readers can learn while reading about the adventures this next layer; Things like mussels, barnacles, sea anemones and sea palm. These labels will help expand vocabulary readers. The main idea of the book is to inform readers about important environmental facts. This book is fun to read about the intellectual as well as read about the adventures of fun.

Under, Over, By the Clover by Brian P. Cleary

Under, Over, By the Clover by Brian P. Cleary

This book started out as a large part of the book, Brian P. Cleary's do something meaningful. Prepositions are often difficult concept for children to grasp. But I think that cleared a good job carefully explain this concept through words and illustrations (draw) a description of the prepositions take the form of a simple definition of the beginning of the book is stretched and. Explain I read this book when I first learned about prepositions can help me understand what the prepositions and how they are used in everyday language.

Skippyjon Jones Snow What by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones Snow What by Judy Schachner

Sister Skippyjon Jones will be enough for Storytime and ask their favorite Snow White Kitty Boy, aka Skippyjon Jones did not like that. And the repartee between the mother and the cat ironic and amusing. Needless to say SkippyJon walk (across the river and through the woods) into the mythology of his own, which includes elements of Snow White, the Three Bears and more "Mirror, mirror on the wall" would like to know. "Who's Chihuahua courageous of them all?" This is about eight Skippyjon Jones, the only one that can assume they are popular with young readers. They're hilarious fun read alouds, even if they never go together and make a lot of sense.

Higher! Higher! by Leslie Patricelli

Higher! Higher! by Leslie Patricelli

I liked the book, "Higher! Higher! "By Leslie Patricelli book is a great book for young children because of the choice of words and illustrations. The book will consist of two sentences: "The high rise !!" image to the plot and tell a story. I like the picture shows a realistic picture of the woman and her surroundings. I think if the picture is more realistic, they are not as noticeable to the reader. I think the choice of words, simple words, it is relatable and accessible to many readers have said, "Higher! Higher! "While being driven to swing at, they want to soar into the clouds. The idea in this book is that you can go "higher! Higher! "But at the end of the day your family is always in the back to hug you and support you.

The Magic School Bus and the Electric Field Trip by Joanna Cole

The Magic School Bus and the Electric Field Trip by Joanna Cole

Ms. Frizzle drags her class, another wild adventure and education again and flows through power lines and power plants. Her students learn about electricity. School Bus transform itself into a truck which students dress in a suit and heat-proof cast them into the furnace of the power plant. They noted that fuel to create steam, and the steam turbine, it is the power and wealth generator. They left the powerhouse through wires and jump into buildings to see if electric power such as vacuum cleaners and power. This book is a nice touch at the end: a board game that will allow readers to see the details, facts and characters in the book.

The book in the series is more complex. But the author and illustrator of the admirable work to simplify it as much as possible. Like the other books in the series will gather more information on the topics listed in the document. (Written by a student) and on the side of the page and illustrations are both funny and packed with detail that illuminates the subject. Be prepared to discuss the difference between scientific fact and fantasy elements. But the idealism is an inviting place to catch the attention of young readers. This book is especially Magic School Bus is advanced reading because of the complex and will be better appreciated by older children compared with the dinosaur books with wide appeal. If parents or teachers who are looking for a friendly way to teach children about electricity. But this book is fit for purpose better than any other I know.

The Magic School Bus Answers Questions by Anne Schreiber

The Magic School Bus Answers Questions by Anne Schreiber

This book is a fictional story, but with the image data, the graphics are colorful watercolored Ms. Bender and her students went to answer the many questions that rush of life, such as why bees flowers, edible plants and how the plane. in the air Questions are answered and reading level is always 3 or Grade 4 because the content is fairly difficult with big words. This book connects with science, because it talks about the cold-blooded insects, plants, animals, sounds, and desert habitats.

To Root, to Toot, to Parachute by Brian P. Cleary

To Root, to Toot, to Parachute by Brian P. Cleary

This book will take the lead in the basic definition of the verb to life. Through singing poems were also many examples of verbs and the verbs. Verbs are highlighted throughout the text to focus the attention of readers in the verb. The flow is clear in the book and a great read for modeling the dynamic. The book is part of a series of speaking. It may be used as part of any of the parts of speech. It's a short read, but have been clearly defined for students to remember. It is fun and engaging.

Skippyjon Jones: Up and Down by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones: Up and Down by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones jumped up and down. He sniffs and sniffs near, far away. He can go above and under him, he zoomed to do many activities during the day and then go to sleep, wake up in the morning and start his activities.

Comments: I like how the author uses the word opposite in meaning. This is a great book for students who are learning about the opposite. In addition, they use the word under the above conditions and that I have a hard time learning in a child and illustrations help explain these two words. Illustration shows the good things that happen in the story.

Quiet Loud (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

Quiet Loud (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

As you might guess from the title, this book focuses on the contrast with the quiet and loud. Although it is a book that is fairly basic and the short-term will not do a good job of demonstrating the concept. Spread each demonstrate the peaceful one, and the one thing - the whispering and shouting, turtles and monkeys, the message is simple and easy to read and understand. But the book is more comprehensive than some shows just one word per page. This book stands well on its own. But it is also a real hit with some adjustments. (Such as acting out, monkey, etc) toddler in my class absolutely love this book. One look at the cover before we started reading and realized what this book is about some tricked out screaming. They all sat in the overwhelming interest of the book, and asked to hear it again and again.

The Magic School Bus Inside a Beehive by Joanna Cole

The Magic School Bus Inside a Beehive by Joanna Cole

I enjoy the majority of the books, The Magic School Bus Inside the nest, especially including speech bubbles creative accessible language and illustrations well designed. As the speech bubble text information included in the story to help voice the character while also giving readers the facts necessary to form a story. The primary purpose of the message that teaches readers about the life of a bee hive pollination and even the construction of the hives. An educational tool that helps clear out a piece of writing and illustration.

Stroll and Walk, Babble and Talk: More About Synonyms by Brian P. Cleary

Stroll and Walk, Babble and Talk: More About Synonyms by Brian P. Cleary

I think this is an excellent book. This is very useful when learning about synonyms. The author used different colors to denote synonyms throughout the book. For example, he made all the synonyms of the word "laughter" red and synonyms of the word "cleansing" blue. This helps the reader to clearly see which words are synonyms. In addition, the author used rhymes to make the story more engaging. For example, the author says: "Synonyms help us use the right word, as the sly or clever, strange or absurd" Rhymes the author integrates keeps the reader engaged and interested in the story because ". it is fun to read. the main idea of this book is that synonyms can help make writing more interesting and descriptive.

Skippyjon Jones, Class Action by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones, Class Action by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones books you enjoy reading. They are also a little more challenging to read a list of words, creative and silly songs. Kids really get into it But because it was so action packed and fun to dive into the story. It is a good book to read on the first day of school, or even in the middle of the school year to cheer up the kids and get them excited about school again!

Yummy Yucky (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

Yummy Yucky (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

This book has the baby to eat something different and noticed a delicious and watery. Most forms of each spread is a delicious food items identified as non-food items associated with food items, either through nature. (Eg, spaghetti worms) or name (such as apple pie, mud pie), which suggests that it is yucky. The book ends with a list of other things that are good to eat and which are not.

I shared this with my toddler class when we learned about the opposite. They absolutely loved this book to pay close attention to the whole thing and asked to read again all week. One of the children enjoyed the book so much that by the time she looked at her food, she said. "This is delicious," and pointed to the wall and said, "This is yucky" and continued in this vein. I'd definitely recommend this book to talk about, in contrast to very young children. It is also good to engage with children picky eaters. (Or who will eat anything!), Or those who just like the stupid book.

Stop and Go, Yes and No by Brian P. Cleary

Stop and Go, Yes and No by Brian P. Cleary

This is an information book for elementary to intermediate grades. This book explains the meaning of antonyms by a combination of poetry in rhyme and use antonyms. The cartoon illustration help the reader visualize the opposite words; from top to bottom, front and back, black and white, etc.
This book has no plot, characters, etc. The style of this book is designed in a very interesting way, though. The author is very clever in linking words with the art of illustrator to convey meaning. Without pictures, words, rhyming poetry, would be difficult to understand. The author strengthens the sense of the antonym word on each page, with such things as use of juxtaposition (Ex. Place the words "high" and "low" accordingly on the page.)
This book is a good example of information in that it is about the definition of a word, however, the illustrations are not real. The book does not include the referenced work quotes, but that was not necessary for this book. This book takes an unconventional approach to information issues.
This book could be used in lessons on antonyms, synonyms, etc.
This book could be used in the units in which students study literary devices and other aspects of writing in order to analyze the business and the direction of the author.

Skippyjon Jones in Mummy Trouble by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones in Mummy Trouble by Judy Schachner

In my opinion the problem Skippyjon Jones's book is good. I like the writing Spanish words on this subject. The main character in terms Chicos, vamanos and Frijoles This certainly adds an interesting element and cultural diversity, while challenging the reader. I also liked the picture because they are very detailed and follow the story as well. In two cats sitting on a pyramid made of kitty litter while reading books about mummies. The image on this page is very colorful and detailed, to the point where the grain kitty litter and display of all the events that occur in the bathroom, like a kitten, the other using a litter box and cat. watching them There are also words written in fonts of different sizes and colors that draw the eye and add a little fun to read the thoughts of the matter is that reading and imagination can escape to. another world For the main characters, read about the mummies in ancient Egypt at the time of his return.

No No Yes Yes (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

No No Yes Yes (Leslie Patricelli board books) by Leslie Patricelli

This is a book that forms the basis of the good and the bad behavior of some children. The message is very simple, with just the word "no" and "yes" on each page; This shows the complete picture. For example, spread to portray "no" to the baby using a crayon on the wall and "yes" to baby sit at a table and drawing on paper. I find it works best to extend a simple language with a more detailed explanation. For example "No, baby, we do not paint on the walls. Yeah baby, I paint on paper. "Toddler in my class love this book so much that they are truly asking for it by name. (A name that is easy to help, I think!) On the downside, this book may end up teaching the children some negative behavior, they never thought of themselves. But hopefully it will work to remind the children of some basic rules. And safety tips I do not like to worry about "no" that shows an infant bath toys - what luck has not been a problem in my classroom. However, I found that after reading this book children into the bathroom and said. "No, no, we do not put the toy in baby potty. We sit on the potty! "Obviously, they remember it and they still remembered what they should and should not do!

The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses by Joanna Cole

The Magic School Bus Explores the Senses by Joanna Cole

I really enjoyed this book for two reasons. The first time I love to write. This book is interesting for readers young and full of dialogue that is understandable to children. For example "Eardrum that is bad!" And "These bones seem big to us. But they are actually the smallest bone in the human body! "The Magic School Bus will take technical subjects and make them really enjoyable. I also enjoy the illustrations that accompany the book. These illustrations help students visualize and understand the human body. For example, in describing the vision center of the brain shows a cartoon version of Star Magic School Bus pass anatomy. This cartoon is education But also humor The main idea of this book is to explore the five senses.

How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon By Jane Yolen & Mark Teague

How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon  By Jane Yolen & Mark Teague

This story takes you through many scenarios when you are sick each presented by a different type of dinosaur. This book is good when learning of the disease, and the doctor. While I think this book could be better used when learning about the different types of dinosaurs. This book was fun, but for educational purposes, I'm not really sure it can be used in a lesson, because it does not focus on one thing.

Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse by Judy Schachner

Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse by Judy Schachner

This is a great book for a small company of Spanish and English. It replaced the English words with Spanish words to make jokes and more interesting, especially since the deal with Chihuahua. The writing in this book is really creative and make you swerve and turn your head for a sentence of interest has been in the dog house with Skippyjon -ito added to each end will focus on life's little Chihuahua.

How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas? By Jane Yolen & Mark Teague

How Do Dinosaurs Say Merry Christmas? By Jane Yolen & Mark Teague

Very similar to the title of Hanukkah, except, of course, about Christmas. The humor comes from seeing the realistic looking dinosaurs, oversized (but not on the scale as far as I know), interacting with humans and Christmas time items such as Christmas trees and so on. The art manages to inject a lot of personality in dinosaurs, giving it a sly look, which is a manic look, etc. They're pretty adorable. The history yet a contrast both good and bad behavior of Christmas (gift everyone unpacking before Christmas, licking all the candy canes, eat all the cookies vs caroling, tree cutting, kiss your grandparents and sleep when Santa comes). It would make a good title storytime due to the oversize format and the popular subject.
